Approaching Cosmetic Dentistry with a Budget in Mind…

At PLAZA HEALTH Dentistry it is not “our way or the highway”!  Using Starbucks as an analogy helps to illustrate our belief system.  An extra creamy, ever-indulgent Latte might appeal to some patrons willing and able to afford the luxury.  However, even a freshly-brewed, standard cup of Starbucks coffee is a superior experience to standard coffee found almost anywhere else.  Yet it is affordable to almost anyone.

We feel dentistry should be offered in a similarly cost-sensitive way.  At PHD, Dr. Schlotz and associates use TREATMENT OPTIONS in creative ways to help work within patients financial constraints.  Our patients, then, feel secure and comfortable that they are receiving high-level and long-lasting affordable aesthetic dentistry.

With this “Quality-First” and “Options-Offered” type of mentality…. We can offer our patients exceptional cosmetic care within budgetary constraints.  For instance, if porcelain “Lumineer” type of veneers are not within financial reach… Alternate esthetic treatment options are offered.  Excellent treatment choices such as Extreme “Deep” Bleaching, Invisalign or Six Month Smiles Orthodontics, Composite Resin Bonding, or some combination thereof, likely might be just what doctor and patient ordered together.

Important to note, however, we at PHD believe in high quality dentistry only -- not the SPEED DENTISTRY techniques that are too common today -- where mistakes and unhappy patients are the consequence.  We don't believe in discount type dentistry that falls short of expectations and longevity.  We believe in high quality treatment that will over-achieve and that will remain with a positive effect for a long period of time.

More about Fees… Higher-Level quality of dentistry brings with it, of course, a commensurate fee.  This only makes sense, and if you’re still in search of the “free lunch” you best not look in a dental office.  In fact, be wary of the oxymoron of “cheap cosmetic dentistry”.  In order to cut costs -- Speed Dentistry Techniques become utilized usually and either your tooth (fast cutting means lots more tooth removed) or your restoration (have you heard of the Chinese labs being used these days) become the casualty.  This fast style of treatment usually leads to a higher percentage of mistakes, with much frustration for the patient.

Note that many top-quality aesthetic dentists spend much of their time re-treating failed cosmetic dentistry cases.  Most of the time, “cheap” dentistry leads to corners being cut along with colossal mis-handling of the treatment.  Paying for cosmetic dentistry once is tough enough.  Having to pay for it twice is untenable, and certainly NOT "cheap" anymore.

It is our belief that the thought of “Cheap” care should be replaced by Quality with reasonable fees and flexible treatment options.  It is only with Treatment Options that fees can logically become reduced without sacrificing quality.

Also, be sure to ask about Financing Options for your care…
